This quarter, CBB donated $750 to The Growing Kind, a non-profit in Cedar Rapids with the mission to build community + create events catered to special needs families and friends.

"On behalf of The Growing Kind community - we can’t even begin to express how incredibly humbled we are by the CBB’s extremely generous donation to our “brand new!” non-profit organization. Based right here in Cedar Rapids, The Growing Kind is striving to build community and create events that are catered to special needs families and friends in our area. We are so honored to have your support in helping us share resources AND facilitate engaging programming & events that foster learning, growth & meaningful connections for individuals & families that need it most. Your generosity will also allow us to establish partnerships that share, guide & support the benefits of providing special accommodations & inclusion initiatives to make “day to day” routines & experiences not so daunting for those who encounter them differently than you & I.

Since March of this year - we’ve successfully hosted an average of three events per month & grown our online (& in person!) presence. We’ve been able to connect with local therapy centers, school & AEA personnel, pediatric health professionals & local businesses who share a similar, core audience.

BUT - we’re just getting started! We are thrilled to be able to keep expanding our footprint & look forward to seeing what the future has in store as we continue to GROW - all thanks to the time, talent & treasure of groups like yours.

Here is a link to our (very basic!) website. It includes information about our upcoming events & also has the links to our social media sites. We’d love for you to follow along: https://sites.google.com/view/the-growing-kind-events/home

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness, kindness & support. We are truly grateful!
