First Aid Training with Midwest Safety Partners

Kimberly and Keith with Midwest Safety Partners led first aid safety training with CBB during our 10/15/25 meeting at Big Grove in Cedar Rapids. During our hour+ long certification process, our group covered topics like:

• Using an EpiPen

• Recognizing seizures, low blood sugar and other health emergencies

• Stabilizing broken limbs or dressing wounds

• Proper use of gloves to avoid contact with blood or contaminants

• Protocol for puncture wounds, nose bleeds, lost teeth or severed fingers

• Keeping Poison Control hotline as a cell phone contact 1-800-222-1222
